Stand Up and Improv for Teachers!

Teachers and comedians have more in common than you probably think. The ability to read the room, deal with distractions, and maintain audience attention are skills that are useful on stage and in the classroom. In this workshop designed for teachers, you will learn and practice exercises used by comedians to help deliver course content and lesson plans entertainingly. These skills can help you to increase student engagement and improve classroom management techniques. Bring your most boring lesson plans and learn to directly apply comedy fundamentals and receive immediate feedback. This workshop can be beneficial to K-12 teachers, trade school instructors, or post-secondary professors. No prior comedy experience is necessary!
